I have far too many photos of my work over the years to post them all! Please check out the albums on my Facebook Page (link in sidebar) or on my Pinterest Page (although I'm not as good at updating Pinterest.)
Not all the nails I do are fake, and not all the photos in my gallery are of fake nails. But most of my clients do wear some sort of enhancement product and the clients who wear natural nails rarely do nail art, so most of the photos are of fake nails.
I dont understand rockstar nails still. I've asked around and I just think Im incredibly blonde or something. People have shown pics of glittered UV gel nails but it seems the same as glitter tips
LOL. "Rockstar" nails ARE just glitter tips. "Rockstar" is a term (coined locally, actually) for the technique of mixing glitter (and other embedments) with nail products-- gel or acrylic-- to embed the "bling" into the nail itself.
Lots of people were doing this long before the term "Rockstar" was coined. I've doing this since the late '90s-- but someone came along and started calling them "Rockstar nails" and BOOM! it took off. Guess we all should have been more creative with what we called them, huh?
Try reading this post, it might help: http://artofnailz.blogspot.com/2011/12/brief-analogy-regarding-rockstar-nails.html
I have enjoyed reading your blogs and website...what products do you use... do you get your glitter from a nail supplier or craft store.... my customers are still a little tame when it comes to art.. but I always try to encourage a little something.... Thanks for sharing your wisdom and humour.... Sharon beautyfx@hotmail.ca
You continue to sit there and complain about people working on natural nails, and doing a fantastic job at them. All the while, your own work is questionable as to how "talented" you actually are. Just because someone enjoys showing off their work on the blogesphere does not mean they are incapable of doing amazing work. You obviously need a lesson or two in some basic nail art methods before you go and shit all over everyone elses fun and enjoyment.
Oh for the love of all that's holy. Go back. Read everything BETWEEN the first line and the last line and I DARE you find the place where I so much as SUGGESTED that "bloggers" weren't talented OR, for that matter, the place where I said that I WAS.
FWIW I happen to think there are some AMAZING talents out there in DIY-blogland. AND I happen to think there is some utter CRAP in the professional market.
But you and your cronies SO missed the point entirely, it's downright laughable. I didn't even say I don't like natural nails. I said it wasn't ALL that's going on in the PROFESSIONAL industry.
I didn't say you sucked, whether I appreciate your style or not or whether I prefer your medium or not. So the blatant attack is uncalled for and you're certainly not entirely "anonymous."
Once again-- where's the URL to YOUR work? Or are you less able and willing to risk the same criticism that you so generously dole out? (Unless you're Lou, in which case you ARE amazing and very fortunate to have BEAUTIFUL natural nails.)
And for everyone else who feels out of the loop: Sorry, just a little Internet mud-slinging.
Anonymous, that was so uncalled for. Maggie you do beautiful and like you stated........"Read everything BETWEEN the first line". People are just so hateful and plain rude.
Are they all fake nails?!
